Our Wax
At Bold SkinCare & Spa we use a blend of three different unique waxes, two hard waxes and one soft wax
Our Honey Hard Wax
Our honey wax is deeply hydrating and exfoliating, this wax blend is used for thicker and coarse hair. This wax is great for all skin types and those who have just started their wax journey.
Our Hypoallergenic Hard Wax
Our hypoallergenic wax is a clear creamy wax blend made rosin free meaning this wax only adheres to the hair not to the skin itself, making this blend prefect for those who have sensitive skin and/or who have very thin hair. This wax is also very soothing leaving you with less irritation.
Our Soft Wax
Our soft wax is a blend of varying soft waxes like honey, and aloe, our soft wax is used for larger wax services like arms, legs and back services, this wax provides a precise hair removal experience, leaving the skin feeling smooth and exfoliated.
Our Estheticians are intensely trained on how to examine each individual's skin and hair to determine the best blend of our wax to use during each service, giving you a extraordinary wax experience leaving you to feel BOLDER and more confident in your own skin.
Sanitation & Hygiene
Here at Bold SkinCare & Spa we take health and safety as one of our top priorities
- New gloves for each service.
- Tools soaked in disinfectant
- new paper for each bed, and each bed is thoroughly sanitized in between clients.
- new waxing sticks for each dip. WE NEVER DOUBLE DIP EVER!!!
- New clean towel used for each client
- All high touch points are cleaned frequently
- All estheticians wear a new face mask and/or protective wear during each service.
Cleanse Protect Nourish
At Bold Skincare & Spa we take a natural approach to before and after care
CLEANSE
We start any wax service by first cleansing the skin with our premade solution of witch hazel, tamanu oil and barley extract, this solution helps to cleanse the skin of any oil and debris, help reduces inflammation, relive skin of irritation, and infuses the skin with antioxidants and anti inflammatory properties which will help with recovery post wax
PROTECT
- We protect the skin by applying a thin layer of oil to act as barrier between the skin and wax, this will help reduce the chances of any skin lifting and protect any live skin cells.
- After we apply cornstarch to the skin to absorb any moisture, this natural alternate is lightweight and rich in antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties.
NOURISH
- We nourish the skin post wax by applying witch hazel which will help reduce inflammation,
- After we apply a layer of our premade solution of jojoba oil and tea tree to help nourish the skin, reduce redness, calm the skin, prevent any bacterial growth while also reducing the chance of ingrowns post wax.
